Here you will find all news, updates, publications, translations and downloads of the Euro-MCD 2.0..
The Euro-MCD 2.0 is a questionnaire to assess outcomes of Moral Case Deliberation. It is a revision of the original Euro-MCD Instrument from 2014 (see below for our publications about the validation field-studies). The questionnaire is developed by a research team of Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch research members.
Moral Case Deliberation is a form of Ethics Support, namely a group dialogue about a moral question or moral dilemma raised from an ethically difficult situation from practice. In a healthcare context, this could be a question like 'what is good care for this patient in this situation?'. During the session, the group reflects on this question and jointly investigates the relevant values, norms and perspectives. The goal of moral case deliberation is to support healthcare professionals to deal with ethically difficult situation in their daily practice.
